The Tibetan Buddhist Community of Lexington, Kentucky (TBCL) depends on contributions to sustain its activities as there is no “membership” fee associated with the teachings.
Our top priority is to get registered as a non-profit organization. Other priorities are listed below. Your time and money make it possible for others to benefit from the positive influences that Buddhism can have on our local community and the world at large.

Short-Term Goals
- Registering as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization
- Meditation Cushions
- Website maintenence
- Teaching materials
- Guest teachers
- Advertising in local media
Long-Term Goals
- Finding a “permanent” home
- Building a “community prayer wheel”
- Supporting monks, nuns, elders, or children in Tibet and/or the Tibetan diaspora (Tibetans living somewhere other than Tibet)
- Bringing Tibetan teachers and monks as permanent residents at TBCL
