About the founders   Richard Farkas has studied Buddhism and Tibetan Culture for more than ten years. He has been a practicing Buddhist for seven. He has participated in teachings and retreats at a number of monasteries, including Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca, NY, the North American seat of the personal monastery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. With his wife Julie, he has taken teachings at the Kalachakra in Toronto, been to Tibet twice, and has visited Dharamsala, home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile. Photos from their travels have been exhibited in Lexington, KY, and at the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center in Bloomington, Indiana.
